Welcome to May !!!! With Easter just coming and going it will not be long before we are half way through the year !!!. What a wonderfully busy few months we have had. Our Family Fun Night was a great success and we loved having so many community members and families joining us for the evening. The Jumping castle and party games were a hit with all the children and we loved watching the older siblings enjoying this family time also. We will continue to host more of these throughout the year - with our disco being the next event.....unless our children have other ideas !!!!.

Our Easter celebrations was also very well attended and it was great to be able to hold this in the school holidays so that older brothers and sisters could be involved in the Eatser Hat Parade. On top of this Lah Lah's big band, Insect Show, Hatching eggs and our excursions out in to the community has certainly kept us very busy and active.

Capturing learning is always our number one priority and we have complied Portfolios and already sent these home to many families. Our goal is to ensure that families regularly access and read their child's learning. Whilst we display this daily on our Curriculum Wall we want families to enjoy time at home looking at thier child's work together. We will be regularly sending Portfolios home as a way of increasing partnership and family involvement.

Over the next few months we will be looking at how we can be valuable members of our community and instill the importance of doing "Acts of Kindness" with our little hands. We will weave this into our daily practices and hopefully we will have the children coming home wanting to do some extra jobs around the house !!!

As Winter approaches we are very focused on keeping little bodies active. We will be moving our Athletics carnival forward ( in line with the schools ) - as children are watching brothers and sisters practice and compete. So our own little Athletics carnival will be held towards the end of May and we will practice building our fitness through running, hurdles, long jump and whatever ball sports the children are interested in. Our Preschool children will also commence weekly "Walk-abouts" around our community to not only be active but to also build awareness of what is around our local streets.

Looking forward to lots more learning as we head into the Winter months.
